Jakarta, August 2024 – Time International is pleased to honor two very talented and inspiring Indonesian athletes, weightlifter Rizki Juniansyah and Women’s badminton singles player Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, for their momentous victory at the recent 2024 global sports event in Paris.
Honoring this achievement, CEO & President Irwan Mussry, Executive Vice President Shannon Hartono, Vice President of Sales & Operations Adhidarma Herman, and General Manager of Product Planning & Merchandising Santy Kristiana presented exclusive timepieces from INTime to Rizki, Gregoria, and their respective coaches, Triyatno and Herli.
Rizki Juniansyah was crowned champion, the first Indonesian weightlifter to win gold. He performed a powerful performance in the “Snatch” and “Clean & Jerk” with a total weight of 354 kg. His coach, Triyatno, who was also a double-medalist weightlifter, expressed his pride in Rizki, knowing how he overcame many challenges before becoming a gold medalist. This achievement marks a new era for Indonesian weightlifting on the global stage.
Meanwhile, Gregoria’s journey to the podium was paved with impressive victories against notable opponents. She earned the bronze medal following a thrilling win over Ratchanok Intanon from Thailand in the quarter-finals. This bronze medal is the first for Indonesian women’s singles since Maria Kristin’s in 2008.
