In the street style sphere, making a statement with your outfit while walking casually on the street (originally during fashion week season) is the key. But in case your outfit can’t really make a statement, there is one thing that could help you create this statement – your bag. A statement bag sometimes easily elevates one look and could transform even a classic tee and jeans look into one cool ensemble.

A statement bag could be the hottest bag of the season or a classic bag from a fashion house that does not dictate by a certain season. Better yet, your statement bag works together with your whole outfit and constructing a very solid total look.

Case in point, the fashion world went hysterical when recently Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted carrying her famous FENDI Baguette while shooting the sequel to “Sex and The City” in New York. The FENDI Baguette has a long history with SJP’s character in the TV series and cemented the duo iconic’s status. The return of this legendary handbag after being first seen two decades ago in the arms of Carrie Bradshaw is probably a fashion moment any fashion addict out there should know by now.

 


Another example, Lady Gaga carrying her pink CELINE Triomphe shoulder bag in such a way contrasting to her soft yellow dress, created a fresh contrasting palette yet letting the bag stood out. The bag became the focal point of her look. Something one should remember when dressing up next time – does the color of my bag works well with the outfit I am wearing?

 


Last but not least, of course, when you are wearing the hottest bag of the season – like the Fendi First bag which is spotted carried by many celebs and influencers around the world – people will stare. People will identify the bag first and your outfit comes later. Most of the time, your bag grabbed all the attention to itself – nothing else matter.
