Many celebrities and Friends of the House attended the FENDI Spring/Summer 2023 Couture Show on January 26th in Paris. For the collection itself, this season, Kim Jones and the craftspeople of the FENDI ateliers continue to approach the couture collection as an inner-world palimpsest, where iterations, transparencies and techniques of the past go to make up the present and move subtly into the future.
Draping and tying on the body, the exploration of lace and its placement, the hand-pleating motifs, together with an elevation of exceptional knit, give a sense of the sculptural and organic while at the same time displaying virtuoso ‘sprezzatura’.
FENDI welcomed established and emerging talent to the show in Paris: household names such as Courtney Love – the legendary American musician, artist, writer and actress, alongside UK actress Milly Alcock, the breakout star of HBO’s series “House of the Dragon.”
Also in attendance were Emmy-nominated American actress Kerry Washington, American actress Sarah Paulson, top-tier models Shalom Harlow and Amber Valletta, British singer Rita Ora, American journalist Derek Blasberg, director Baz Luhrmann, and many more.
