OSCARS 2021: ZENDAYA LIGHTS UP THE RED CARPET IN VALENTINO

Attending the 93rd Academy Awards, actress Zendaya Coleman solidified her unshakeable status as a fashion icon. Wearing a custom Valentino Haute Couture gown specially designed for her by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli, Zendaya instantly created a huge buzz around her look for the event and landed in many best-dressed lists at the Oscars.

The fluo yellow chiffon dress was named ‘Force de beauté’, featured a couture draping, baring the actress’s perfect abs, and required at least 300 working hours (by hands) at the VALENTINO Ateliers.  The flowy gown was something sophisticated and daring, said Pierpaolo, who added that the choice of color for the look was very unexpected. And surely, when Zendaya entered the Oscars red carpet magic happened.

Rumor has it that when Zendaya posed for the red carpet, her stylist – Law Roach – brought his own wind machine, that in some videos spreading around social media, the VALENTINO gown was the only one that danced with the wind. A sudden strange wind, because no other celebs have their dress or hair moved or twirls.

Whatever the case, her latest Oscar look has solidified the 24-year-old star’s status as a fashion icon. Something that surely has come a long way after the red carpet incident in 2015, in which her hairstyle (also for the Academy Awards apparently) was the subject of Giuliana Rancic’s commentary on a TV program. Zendaya responded to the controversy with an Instagram post and the rest is history. She’s been slaying look, after look, after look. And notably, some of the head-turning moments were when she was dressed in VALENTINO.

With her upcoming projects, events, and red carpets, Zendaya’s fashion choices will be regular headlines. She has a very promising career ahead of her. She will bless the world with hundreds more amazing looks that will keep her name relevant even to many generations later.
