FENDI X JACKSON WANG REPORTEDLY SOLD OUT AFTER RELEASE

At the peak of K-pop invasion around the world, FENDI launched a new unisex collaboration with K-pop singer-rapper Jackson Wang from the group Got7. The collection debuted in selected China boutiques on July 20th, on FENDI.com, and selected boutiques worldwide from July 26th.

The limited-edition collection reportedly sold out soon after the unveiling in China. A proof that this has been a very strategic collaboration between FENDI and Jackson Wang, who was announced as FENDI’s ambassador in China early this year. Yet, this was not Jackson’s first collaboration with FENDI, as he previously released the song “Fendiman” in May 2018.

Notably, this is Fendi’s first-ever velvet collection, and Jackson is involved in the designing of clothes, shoes, accessories, and more. The monochrome range includes a formal suit as well as other street-ready pieces such as jumpers, T-shirts, pants, and caps. Most of the collection is printed with black-on-black FF logo print and texturized with velvet and chenille fabrics. Additionally, Jackson Wang has designed his own low-top sock runner sneakers and air-cushion slides as well as a clutch and Baguette bag in black leather. To truly make his stamp with the collection, Wang has also created a special ‘FENDI Team Wang’ logo to the pieces adding to its exclusivity.

With the sleek and minimalist feel, and also dominant black color palette, this collection has that undeniable classic charm. Also, the black leather Baguette bag with the FF logo in a velvet embroidered on the frontal flap is a must-have for Baguette lovers. Overall, this limited collection got the fans covered from head to toe, which makes it more appealing.

To accompany the launch of FENDI x Jackson Wang Capsule Collection, FENDI has placed a whimsical structure of a playful panda called FENDIDI at the entrance of Shamao Street at Chengdu IFS in China. The exclusive design was made by Oscar Wang and stands approximately 3.3 meters tall and 2 meters wide, providing an eye-catching and super cute addition to the popular Chinese locale. FENDIDI translates into “FENDI’s little brother,” while the House states that “F is for…fun, friends, fantasy and funk; FENDIDI starts his journey in Chengdu and his passion for FENDI will take him around the world.” The adorable oversized panda bear wears an FF logo outfit, as well as a crossbody Men’s Baguette bag, which is from the exclusive Jackson Wang Capsule Collection.
