Tory Burch Celebrates Its First Store in Indonesia

JAKARTA – September 25th, 2014 – Tory Burch celebrated the official launch of its first store in Indonesia with a cocktail party at Plaza Senayan in Jakarta. The event included local tastemakers, media and VIP guests including Time International President & CEO Irwan Danny Mussry, Sisca Becker, Hannah Al-Rasyid, Rianty Cartwright, Marissa Anita, as well as Sigi Wimala. The crowd listened to music by DJ Jacqueline and watched a presentation of models in the Fall 2014 collection.

The Plaza Senayan boutique in Jakarta is the brand’s first freestanding store in Indonesia. In keeping with all Tory Burch stores, the façade is distinguished by orange lacquer doors, and the 2,200-square foot boutique has been custom-designed to create a residential feel. The décor features brown marble and white-washed oak floors, gold leaf chandeliers and raffia walls, offering a neutral backdrop for a sophisticated mix of furnishings – teal velvet sofas, seafoam silk curtains, blue embroidered pillows and brass tables.

In honour of the opening, the Jakarta boutique is offering an exclusive black python handbag with leather interior and gold hardware. Only 20 pieces of this limited edition style were made, and they are available just at this location.

In addition to the exclusive product, a wide assortment of the Tory Burch collection is available at the store, including ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, accessories, small leather goods, and, coming this fall, watches.

The opening of the Jakarta boutique follows the company’s success in Southeast Asia, with stores in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.
