Piaget enriches its iconic Possession collection with three new Rainbow creations in the colors of the rainbow: a bracelet, a pendant, and a ring make up a playful and joyful day set. Beauty is a game.
Born in 1990, the Possession collection was Piaget’s first foray into the world of everyday jewelry after decades devoted to exceptional precious pieces, oscillating with the same passion from watchmaker to jeweler at the dawn of the 1960s. Its band, beautifully nestled in a ring, inspired by the house’s watchmaking techniques, instantly seduced an audience in search of bold jewelry, as obvious as it is mysterious. A true contemporary talisman, the rotating ring invites play and constant interaction. An intuitive gesture that soothes and connects. After being adorned with the iconic gold engraving, known as Decor Palace, the Possession collection now lends itself to the changing and magnetic nuances of multicolored stones: including diamonds, pastel pink, yellow sapphires, or vibrant tsavorites. All highlighted by the delicate gold work of the Decor Palace, a unique process, a testament to the virtuoso of the Métiers d’or of the house of Piaget.
THE ART OF COLOR
These new pieces are part of a love story born in the 1960s between Piaget and color. First with ornamental stones, turquoise, malachite, tiger’s eye, lapis lazuli, then the gems that adorn the bezel of the first jewelry watches, before being on the first high Jewellery sets. If one color took over in the 60’s-70’s, the rainbow signature is now emerging as a new chapter in this colorful heritage, sublimating the contours of a Limelight Gala watch, a Piaget Polo Date 36mm or the generous contours of Possession.

Rainbow setting requires millimeter precision. Each stone – diamond, ruby, sapphire, tsavorite – is selected by a gemologist for its hue and size, thus guaranteeing a perfect gradation of the colors of the rainbow. A major technical challenge. This complexity is coupled with the meticulousness of the Decor Palace, another distinctive code of the house. Created in 1961 and rediscovered in the archives in the early 2000s, this goldsmithing work transforms gold into a textured surface with unique irregular reflections. Each craftsman has his own savoir-faire, making each piece unique, in his image, and thus continuing the singular charm that has always surrounded Piaget creations.
