Since the day it was founded, Piaget has never ceased to chart the unique story of a lifestyle that is now legendary. In the seventies and eighties, the era’s free spirits gathered around the singular figure of Yves Piaget, who succeeded in bringing together personalities as eclectic as they were inspiring. The Maison’s glamorous and avant-garde designs, crafted in the ‘Ateliers de l’Extraordinaire’, caught the attention of the era’s brightest stars, such as Gina Lollobrigida, Jacqueline Onassis Kennedy and Elizabeth Taylor.
Piaget became a world of its own. From Capri to Palm Beach, from Monaco to Saint-Tropez, the spirit of the now legendary Piaget Society stood for freedom, creative daring and intermingling genres. COCKTAIL HOUR
Inspired by the brilliant immediacy of celebration at the heart of the Piaget Society, the Piaget Cocktail collection captures a unique sensation. Festive and flamboyant, it offers an invitation to celebrate life: an ode to joy, to freedom and to creativity. Created in 2010 by Stéphanie Sivrière, the Maison’s Creative Director, as part of the Limelight Paradise High Jewellery collection, and reimagined over the years in the most exquisite High Jewellery variations, the Piaget Cocktail collection embodies a unique blend between daring, jewellery savoir-faire and sophistication. The stones (tourmaline, aquamarine, citrine, turquoise, emerald, amethyst, diamond) and the setting, echoing the curves of a straw, pay homage to the Maison’s creative mastery. The eclectic compositions, with all the fizz of a cocktail, combine in a smooth choreography. The compositions of stones, bright with fruit-inspired notes, are a feast for the eyes: sparkling yuzu, fresh basil, mint leaf and alluring orange. Yellow sapphire is deliciously sour like lemon zest, pink quartz calls to mind the sweetness of a twist of lychee, and mint-green tourmaline electrifies a zesty orange spessartite. Stones are painstakingly sculpted into delicate figurative shapes, harmoniously combining to offer an elegant wearing style. The finest High Jewellery variations nestle between the fingers, while everyday Piaget Cocktail jewellery can be worn, as desired, stacked or as a solo piece. Sweet pops of lychee combine with tsavorites and spessartites, while icy purple amethysts mingle with citrus notes, as a pavé-set lemon and translucent crystal echo the freshness of a custom-cut ice cube. Green tourmaline, paired with lemon zest pavé-set with yellow sapphires, inspires a joyous blend of minty accents. The Secret Blue ring, a precious blend of dazzling diamonds, round emeralds and turquoise cabochons, is embellished with a sculpted chrysoprase leaf.
