Monday May 4th marks the date of the annual 2026 MET GALA at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York.
The 2026 Met Gala theme is Fashion is Art, going hand-in-hand with the museum’s spring exhibition: Costume Art.
Ahn Hyo-Seop wore a look exclusively created for him by Creative Director Alessandro Michele. A single-breasted jacket with notch lapels with gold black, and pink sequin and baguette all over embroidery. Frog closure embroidered with black baguettes. Champagne jacquard silk shirt, black wool trousers and red silk ascot. Valentino Garavani accessories complete the look.

Tyla wore a look exclusively created for her by Creative Director Alessandro Michele. A long embroidered dress composed by a long paon satin skirt with deep slit and ornamental basque on the waist embroidered with silver rhinestones. Tulle top with long sleeves and deep V neck line with an all over fringes and silver sequins embroidery. Valentino Garavani Révélé pumps complete the look.
Sombr wore a look exclusively created for him by Creative Director Alessandro Michele. A tulle and chiffon cape embroidered by hand with a variety of materials in shades of silver and dark gray, creating a degradé effect. The cape took 500 hours of workmanship by hand to create. The lamé lace top is embellished with an asymmetrical crepe de chine and satin motif that creates the effect of a ribbon wrapped around the bust. The trousers feature the same degradé motif from the waist to the hem and are embellished with a braided trim at the waist and along the side band. The look is completed by Valentino Garavani Accessories.
Odessa A’Zion wore a look exclusively created for her by Creative Director Alessandro Michele. A maxi shawl in black double pleated duchesse. Black faille lurex cape embroidered with micro-fabric flowers and sequins, lined with sky blue satin. Embroidered flower bra, black satin bustier with embroidered flower appliqués and satin briefs. Valentino Garavani accessories complete the look.
Maude Apatow wore a look from the Maison Valentino Specula Mundi Haute Couture Collection by Creative Director Alessandro Michele. A long black sleeveless dress with an open back with pleated collar and organza yoke, wool radzimir shoulder straps and soft faille sash. Silk crepe wrap skirt with a soft peau de soie bow detail on the waist. Valentino Garavani Accessories complete the look.
Lena Dunham wore a look exclusively created for her by Creative Director Alessandro Michele. Drama Red silk georgette asymmetrical dress with a bareback, with an all over embroidery of irregular red sequins and stones with small clusters of larger sequins, deep red cruore feathers adornment scattered across the entire surface in the shape of a boa along the entire perimeter of the dress. Dree Hemingway wore a look from the Maison Valentino Specula Mundi Haute Couture Collection by Creative Director Alessandro Michele. A short kimono with all over silver canes embroidered with golden thread, silver lurex with fringes on the sleeves and scarf. Long dress with three-quarter sleeves and open back in silver lurex embroidered with silver beads and marabou feathers at the hem. Colman Domingo wore a look exclusively created for him by Creative Director Alessandro Michele. A pleated chiffon jacket featuring a woven pattern inspired by the iconic Valentino harlequin motif and black satin waistband pleated by hand. The piece took 268 hours of workmanship by hand to create. Black wool bootcut trousers featuring red satin side bands embroidered with beads and sequins.
