A future summer, seen through a fantastical FENDI lens. The legibility of desire resounds in melodious geometries of color, blazing in shifting landscapes. Sensuality is paramount, as Silvia Venturini Fendi delves into optical games of featherweight form.
“It’s about a relaxed and colorful sense of ease with a romantic elegance,” says Silvia Venturini Fendi. “It’s not about a single definition but a fluidity between everyday life and exquisite craftsmanship. Simple gestures with complex work behind them. This duality has always attracted me.”
In a set designed by Marc Newson, a pixelated color field undulates in kaleidoscopic communion with essential FENDI silhouettes that transcend and transform archetypes. Bright hues define understated volumes that sheath the body in weightless expressions of positive and negative space. The familiar is FENDI-fied, reconstructed and deconstructed to play with intimacy inside-out. Structure and strictness are pared down with soft flourishes. Crisp, crunchy, transparent and lustrous, fabrics are engineered for urban adventures.
Conceived together, a shared spirit ping-pongs between the FENDI Women’s and Men’s collections. Evoking suspenders and corsetry, bright buttonhole tabs punctuate jackets and frame skirts for adjustability. Impressionist floral accents bloom and grow, printed across iridescent layers, piped into dewdrop daisies or sculpted as ironic ‘sunny side flowers’. Unzipped and cinched, double-faced or drawstring, soft tailoring and sportswear shapes are electrified in an edible palette of juicy shades. Here, saturated color is a balm – a therapeutic shock of joyful abandon. From bold white, concrete and soft, sunny yellows towards turquoise, vermillion, bubblegum, coral pink and all manner of candy combinations, the tonal twist of primary colors, pastels and earthy neutrals define a polychromatic system. Contrasting panels, two-tone jerseys, perforated leathers and sheer jacquards create relaxed yet modular clothes that conceal and reveal.

Caught in a scrunched balloon hem, short blazers and loose cotton coats embody the season’s nonchalant elegance, as organza collars and frilled cuffs on a bomber jacket do, or tiered skirts with a fishtail kick. A man’s shirt is reworked myriad ways – as tuxedo bibbed blouses and irregular box-pleated mini’s, to the slender darted shape of a button-down shirt dress. Both boyish and ladylike, ensembles toy with opulent materiality, manifesting in translucent organza or crochet polo shirts, silk cable knit twin sets, or technical shell suits with plush panelling. Celebrating FENDI workmanship, glossy disc embroideries echo polka dots and perforations, tiny bouquets are painted on cartoon floral guipure, and daisy or woven motifs embolden shearling and plush coats with a graphic nostalgia.
The FENDI Spring/Summer 2026 accessories collections are a dazzling display of innovation and wit, elevated with textures, structures and 3D embellishments that echo the collection’s weightless summer flair. As though laced through a string of beads, the new FENDI Collier handbag features a drawstring pouch ruched on a bauble handle with FF accents, whilst the FENDI Hobo framed with Selleria stitching adjusts on a sliding leather pom-pom. Both the FENDI Baguette and soft FENDI Spy bag return crafted in cable knit silk, as FENDI Peekaboo styles are embellished inside or out with transparent floral beaded cages, sequined inner pockets, or woven basket leather constructions. Spacious and deconstructed, the new trapezoidal FENDI Way bag is crafted in bright suede and calfskin with minimal gilded hardware.
On foot, new FENDI Arco sling-back cutaway sandals with a hooked block heel feature engineered knit panels or chain-link and leather cording, reflecting craft seen across men’s latticework loafers and woven lace-up flats. Designed by Delfina Delettrez Fendi, filigrane gold cuffs, gold and enamel nugget pendants, enamel ear cuffs and coral-shaped FF earrings join cat’s eye aviators with leather pom-pom charms, for a sense of found folly with a Midas touch.
Editor’s Note: Reflecting the show’s multigenerational cast of characters, a bespoke soundtrack designed by Frederic Sanchez samples iconic moments from the history of Italian cinema, conceived as a ‘pixelised promenade’ through the streets of Rome. Threaded through with touches of Italian opera, the voices of Marcello Mastroianni, Anouk Aimée, Anna Magnani and Alain Delon are synthesised through electronic music projects by Scanner and Matthias Schubert.
