Red Carpet Collection
‘Caroline’s Universe’
The new Red Carpet Collection that Chopard will be presenting at the 78th Cannes International Film Festival showcases the personal universe of its Artistic Director Caroline Scheufele. Serving as the Festival’s official partner, and artisan of the Palme d’or since 1998, the Maison will unveil 78 Haute Joaillerie creations this year, whose unique and daring designs – inspired by flowers, animals, couture, gems, the cosmos and the heart – are driven by exceptional expertise.
To mark the 60th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival in 2007, Chopard’s Co-President and Artistic Director Caroline Scheufele launched the first Red Carpet Haute Joaillerie collection. “From the outset, I wanted the Red Carpet Collection to have as many pieces of jewellery as the number of years the Festival has been in existence” says Caroline Scheufele, whose passion for cinema led her to form this partnership with the competition in 1998. “This collection is designed for actresses to sparkle as they climb the famous steps, thereby honouring Chopard’s reputation as the red carpet jeweller.”
Immersive and intimate
After ‘Cinema’, ‘Arts’ and ‘Contes de Fées’, the theme of the 2025 Red Carpet Collection explores Caroline Scheufele’s personal universe, rather than simply what she is passionate about. Diving into her life’s environment and surroundings paints a very subtle portrait of Chopard’s Artistic Director’s multifaceted personality, much like a diamond. Inspired by animals, flowers, couture, gems, the cosmos and the heart, ‘Caroline’s Universe’ reveals the creative inspiration behind Chopard’s most imaginative Haute Joaillerie collection.
Caroline’s universe
“Each piece of jewellery is a stage; each precious stone tells a story in which the art of jewellery reflects both my personal journey and universal emotion” explains Caroline Scheufele. The 2025 Red Carpet Collection comprises 78 necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets and jewellery watches crafted in Chopard’s Haute Joaillerie atelier in Geneva. The latter are home to more than 40 artisans, such as model-makers, stone cutters, jewellers, gemsetters and polishers.
As the opening date of the 78th Cannes Film Festival draws near, Caroline Scheufele reveals the first creation from this year’s Red Carpet Collection: a magnificent choker. This necklace, made of white ethical gold and diamonds, most prominently features an exceptional 129-carat Colombian emerald cabochon. The result of 450 hours of collaboration between the atelier’s various master artisans, this bejewelled marvel is sure to cause a sensation around the neck of one of the actresses on the Croisette.
A visionary approach
By introducing jewellery glamour to the steps of the Cannes Film Festival, the world’s most publicised event after the Olympic Games, Chopard continues to display a visionary approach. In 2013, Caroline Scheufele introduced ethical gold into her jewellery collections, inaugurating Chopard’s ‘Journey to Sustainable Luxury’ by the same token. Ten years later, she unveiled Caroline’s Couture at an exclusive fashion show in Cannes: an array of Couture silhouettes of her own design, intended to highlight her Haute Joaillerie creations and the women who wear them. These represent two complementary offerings uniting the finest craftsmanship under the aegis of Chopard Co-President’s creative talent.
