CHANEL Unveils Première Ribbon Red

CHANEL Unveils Première Ribbon Red

A bracelet with a velvet-touch that elegantly embraces the wrist. An octagonal dial whose shape recalls the stopper of the N°5 perfume and the shape of the Place Vendôme. An essential color in the universe of Gabrielle Chanel… Red. A red that defines this distinctive Première.

Created in 1987, the Première initiated a true lesson in style by opening the first page of CHANEL’s watchmaking history. Its bold design – an octagonal case featuring a monochrome dial without indexes or a seconds hand – and its immediately recognizable signature offered freedom from all the codes of traditional watchmaking.

In 2026, this iconic creation is dressed in red. This flamboyant and vibrant tone, a metaphor for passion and audacity, was one of Gabrielle Chanel’s favorite colors.

“Red is life”.

Constantly reinterpreted in the creations of the House, this color is rendered in an intense hue. The sunburst-lacquered dial offers an exquisite play of light reflections, while the bracelet combines a velvet touch with a couture feeling.

Refined down to the smallest detail, this piece features a yellow gold case as well as a diamond-set crown to further accentuate its preciousness.
