Vernissage Held on September 29
Founded by CHANEL in 2021 in Paris, le19M is a unique place for work, transmission, and conservation of heritage, that brings together nearly 700 passionate artisans and experts in fashion and decoration. The venue also houses la Galerie du 19M, an open space dedicated to transmitting and showcasing the unique savoir-faire of the Houses’ artisans in dialogue with guest creatives.
From 30th September to 20th October 2025, le19M is travelling from Paris to take up residence in the heart of Tokyo, on the 52nd floor of the Mori Tower. la Galerie du 19M Tokyo is a space of wonder, surprise and dialogue. Composed of three chapters, it unfolds like a journey: le Festival, which showcases the unparalleled and exceptional craftsmanship of the Maisons d’art; the immersive exhibition Beyond Our Horizons that brings together 30 artisans and artists from Japan and France; and Lesage. 100 Years of Fashion and Decoration, a tribute to the embroidery and tweed-making House, that unveils exceptional creations spanning a century of artistry. To inaugurate the exhibition, a vernissage was held on September 29th. The event brought together Bruno Pavlovsky, President of Chanel SAS and President of le19M, alongside the Japanese and French artisans and artists who contributed works to Beyond Our Horizons, as well as the members of the editorial committee who bridged both cultures: Momoko Ando, Yoichi Nishio, Shinichiro Ogata, Kayo Tokuda, and Aska Yamashita. Also present were the actors and CHANEL ambassadors Nana Komatsu and Hio Miyazawa, the actors Sakura Ando, Fumi Nikaido, Ai Hashimoto, Natsuki Deguchi, and the artist Chanmina. Together, they imbued the opening of la Galerie du 19M Tokyo with a spirit of creativity, exchange and emotion.

During the opening, Pavlovsky emphasized that: “Japan holds a singular and precious place in the history of CHANEL and le19M. It is our respect for gesture and craftsmanship, our pursuit of precision and patience, our attention to materials and time, and our commitment to passing on a living heritage to future generations that truly bring us together.”
In January 2026, the exhibition Beyond Our Horizons will travel to la Galerie du 19M in Paris with a newly reimagined format, inviting French audiences to discover and to experience firsthand the creative encounters and collaborations between French and Japanese artisans.
