About Time International

Time International is currently the holder of exclusive retailing rights or authorised sales points to over 40 of the most well-known brands in the world of timepieces and lifestyle products.

Originally an assembling, service centre and wholesale distribution company in the early 60’s, Time International was revamped in the early 80’s by the second generation owners and became an exclusive distributor and authorised service centre in Indonesia for Gucci Timepieces. After a second partnership with leading sports watch brand, TAG Heuer, the company soon began to acquire rights for other luxury brands.

By the early 90’s, Time International opened the very first Cartier boutique in Indonesia at the prestigious Plaza Indonesia, Jakarta. Its lush interiors brought the true essence of the House of Cartier to Jakarta. Carrying the full collection of Jewellery, Watches, Leather Goods and Accessories, Indonesian customers no longer needed to travel to Singapore to access the finest creations of the Paris-based brand.

Recognising the need in the market for a leading retailer, Time International also ventured into a new business category, by opening its first multi-brand fine timepiece boutique, The Time Place, in Plaza Senayan, Jakarta. Following this unique store concept in Indonesia – the first of its kind in the market – The Time Place further expanded with new locations, in Plaza Indonesia, Tunjungan Plaza IV in Surabaya, and the latest one in Pacific Place, Jakarta. Since then, The Time Place has been labelled the pioneer in the industry for Indonesia.

To support its retail stores, Time International’s After Sales Service Centre, Time Care, also expanded. Not only is the centre now the largest in the country, with technicians being trained by the brands themselves, but each retail store is equipped with its own in-house technician and equipment, to cater promptly and efficiently to the servicing needs of customers while they shop.

Time Care is the exclusive authorised after-sales service centre for the brands within the Time International portfolio.

Parallel to the success of its luxury timepiece retail division, Time International also conquered the world of fashion timepieces, with Adidas, Fossil, DKNY, D&G, Diesel and Rip Curl. The company currently has a great number of active retailers carrying these brands, and created Urban Icon, the first customer-centric fashion accessories shopping experience in Indonesia. And for those value-driven yet fashion conscious patrons, Time International created WatchTime International.

Time International also introduced another new concept store, INTime. A young, modern, yet luxurious store, this concept is well-suited to Indonesia’s need for a breath of fresh air in the world of timepiece retail. Currently present in three locations in Jakarta’s prime malls – Plaza Senayan, Pondok Indah Mall 2, and Senayan City –INTime is perfect for those seeking the best brand names in a comfortable and trendy setting. In June 2012, INTime opened its first boutique outside Jakarta located in Paris Van Java, Bandung.

In 2006, Time International opened the very first TAG Heuer boutique in Plaza Senayan, Jakarta, soon followed by the opening of subsequent TAG Heuer boutiques in Plaza Indonesia, Senayan City, Grand Indonesia, Pacific Place, Plaza Senayan, Central Park and Grand City Surabaya.

2008 was a particularly crucial milestone in the company’s history, marking the opening of the very first Chanel boutique in Indonesia. The long-awaited luxury brand had appointed Time International as their exclusive retailer for the famed fashion house in Indonesia. The company’s venture into fashion retailing continued to expand with the opening of Fendi in Plaza Indonesia in 2011, and Plaza Senayan in 2012.

2011 also marked The Time Place first Rolex boutique in Singapore located strategically at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. Following this success, Indonesia has its first ever ownstanding Rolex boutique at Plaza Indonesia in 2012.
